Our Mission
Open Arms Health Wellness & Healing, Inc. provides emotional support to moms, peer support to new mothers, and maternal mental health support. We are dedicated to embracing and empowering mothers at every stage of their journey. We deeply understand the challenges of motherhood and the need for a supportive community.
This understanding is the foundation of our work, and we’ve created a safe and nurturing space where moms can connect, heal, and grow together. Our unwavering mission is to provide a sanctuary for mothers through peer support, educational resources, and therapeutic activities such as group sessions, prayer circles, and small gatherings. At Open Arms, we believe in the power of community and the importance of self-care, which is why we’ve also developed beautifully crafted journals to inspire reflection, mindfulness, and personal growth.

Meet Yvrande Harris, Founder & CEO
As a wife, a mother of four, and the driving force behind Open Arms Health Wellness & Healing, my personal journey led to the birth of this nonprofit. It was my own experience as a new mom, grappling with the challenges of motherhood without the community I needed, that sparked the idea. With the loss of my mother and my sisters living out of state, I found myself shouldering the responsibilities alone while my husband worked to support us.
My longing for a community of like-minded moms who truly understood my journey, a space filled with support, education, and shared experiences, led to the creation of Open Arms Health Wellness & Healing. This is not just another community but a unique, safe, and welcoming space where mothers can come together, feel supported, and know they’re never alone in this journey.
